Roof Playground
Ladders, Slides and Horizontal Bars in "the roof field of Athens"
An installation of a number of ladders, slides and horizontal bars in selected Athenian center blocks. The added metallic objects are supposed to be placed by artisans working in Athens without general or detailed architectonic plans: the description for the execution of the construction would be the only design; an indication of the connection points and the type of each connection is what replaces here the architectural design.
Repeatability, hypnotic in itself, is usually founded by cyclical durations. The depth of human desires, is often based on installations of repetitions. This hypnotic potential is projected here on some playful landscape, which exists already in the roofs of Athens. The "playground" would offer circular experiences, sometimes dangerous. The program could conclude with bridging between different city blocks through suspension bridges. This invisible and diverse roof landscape of the city would then be a shared urban space and an area of particular motion.
