Construction of theater script

Two texts of Freud and Hoffmann are the first source of this work; the project is elaborated as the construction of a complex text that arranges anew some fragments of the original texts and adds some more data to this new structure. There is no existing script elaborated afterward by a mise en scene that undertakes to present how the director's reading of a text. The script here is the result of a collaboration that in the same time shapes the performance and is crystallized by the directing procedure. The final script can now be re-visited and be staged differently but its first form was accomplished as an idiosyncratic excavation diary of the two referenced texts and in the same time as an archive reporting this long collaboration with Katerini Antonakaki. In the beginning there is an agreement on a general theme, there are some elements that are from the beginning of particular interest for both. There is a commitment to something that will produce the text and thereby the show but they are still completely undefined. The director makes her contracts to organize the production while there is still no text. A meeting is arranged with the director and the author and they both appear holding some rags: a few papers, some prints, books to be consulted and-especially for Documents on Hoffmann and Freud-two texts: A short story by Hoffmann and the essay on the same piece by Freud. How a thematic not particularly original, which relates to years of references and bibliographies countless dissertations and studies can produce a new project?
